Dr. Betsy has been practicing Veterinary Medicine for over 15 years, and though new to the Santa Fe area, Patient Paws Mobile Vet has been bringing quality pet care to people’s homes since 2018. Dr. Betsy & Patient Paws have always done things differently—we are Fear Free and Low Stress Handling Certified and ONLY have your pet’s physical and emotional well-being in mind (seriously!). We do our best to work within budgetary constraints as needed, and we always strive to tailor a treatment plan accordingly.

Housecall Services & Fees
Available in the Santa Fe area only.
We are a single veterinarian practice, and cannot guarantee same day appointments. Housecalls will be performed as our schedule permits.
We are not a full diagnostic or emergency clinic. Click on the “Emergency & Alternative Clinics” tab for a list of full service clinics.
We offer wellness services and minor urgent care treatment (schedule permitting), including:
annual exams and vaccines
exams for medication &/or preventative refills
routine lab work (results usually available within 2 days)
symptomatic treatment for minor injuries (that do not require surgery)
mild to moderate gastrointestinal issues
urinary issues-acute or chronic
minor respiratory issues (that do not require x-rays or oxygen therapy)
allergies and skin problems
ear/eye problems
If you have questions about our services don’t hesitate to give us a shout!
We don’t have X-Ray capability, and we are not equipped to do anesthesia, surgical or emergency procedures. If we feel your pet needs more care than we can provide, or if they are not responding properly to the symptomatic treatment we have already provided, we will refer you to a full service facility.

This can include new pet exams, annual exams & vaccines, senior and geriatric care, exams for medication refills, routine lab work, and other wellness services.
An in-depth doctor consultation with question and answer session is included, and a standard exam fee will apply.
minor urgent care
*Minor Illness or Injury*
Minor urgent care is defined as: “non life-threatening conditions, that left without treatment for more than a few days, could lead to unwanted complications”. We can provide symptomatic treatment for minor urgent conditions in your space or in our van, as appropriate.
PLEASE NOTE: We are NOT an emergency, on-call or after hours service.
lowEr cost wellness
*For Healthy Pets Only*
Lower cost vaccine services are done a la carte. There is no exam fee, but the regular housecall fee still applies. CLICK HERE to see Lower Cost Pricing, as it differs from the typical housecall pricing.
Services will be performed in our van, and a brief 5 minute consultation with the doctor is included.
PLEASE NOTE: This option is not appropriate for pets with a history of vaccine reaction.
in-home euthanasia
We know how difficult this decision can be, and we do everything we can to try to mitigate the stress for all involved. We utilize sedation as necessary and will walk you through every step.

We are happy to approve prescriptions through any valid pharmacy for our existing clients upon request. We also offer our own online pharmacy that is run by a THIRD PARTY VENDOR for your convenience. Click the button below.
For our current clients that would like to request medications DIRECTLY FROM US (NOT from our 3rd party online pharmacy) for Home Delivery or Priority Mail, or for us to call in to your preferred outside pharmacy, PLEASE USE THE REQUEST FORM BELOW (delivery or mailing fees may apply).
